Privacy policy

Who we are

Ask Once is run by Rokas Ščesnavičius, an individual based in France. We decide how your personal data is used, so we're the data controller. You can reach us at [email protected], or through the contact form.

What we collect, and why

Our servers briefly use your internet address to limit repeated requests, and keep it in memory and in short-lived security logs. We don't use advertising or analytics tools.

What stays on your device

The numbers you type into your tool, your answers in the lessons, and your free lesson progress are kept in your own browser. They don't come to us. Clearing your browser's data removes them.

What we never see

We never see your card details. Stripe takes your payment on its own page.

Who else handles your data

We don't sell your data. Some of these companies may handle data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, they must use the safeguards the law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep your account, order and progress for as long as you have the course, so you can come back to it. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your email address, name and progress, unless the law requires us to keep a record of the sale. Stripe keeps its own payment records. Contact messages stay in our inbox for as long as we need them to help you.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, and ask us to correct or delete it. You can also object to how we use it, or ask us to limit that use, and ask for your data in a form you can move elsewhere. To do any of this, contact us. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
